Notice: Residents wanted for Area "Green" Plan

Hello, NECKO neighborhood - The University Area Commission is beginning a discussion on a "Green" Plan for the University Area dealing with sustainability, environmental initiatives, green buildings, and more. Hello Everyone,

I have attached the UAC Green Plan Invitation for distribution. Please
pass it on to your neighbors and anyone who might be interested in
attending. The first meeting will be held in room 100 of the Northwood
High Building and is primarily for area residents and stakeholders to
get a feel for what types of green issues they would like to see
addressed. Follow-up meetings will include city staff and green leaders
to see how these issues can be addressed.

Buckeye Alert System - Available to NECKO Residents

Good afternoon, NECKO neighborhood -

Ohio State University has developed a new "Buckeye Alert" warning system for alerting students, facility, staff, and community members of safety related situations on the Columbus campus.  If you sign up for it, you'll get any warning messages via text message. Given the proximity of the campus to NECKO, it is a free community service definitely worth checking out.
