Good evening, NECKO Neighbors - Please see the latest update below on the upcoming overnight concrete pours from Al Stazzone, the Dodd Garage Senior Project Manager.
From: Al Stazzone, Senior Project Manager, OSU Facilities Operations and Development / Facilities Design and Construction
I wanted to reach out to you regarding concrete pours that will need to occur overnight at the Dodd Parking Garage site.
Dugan & Meyer has indicated that there will need to be 29 concrete pours that will need to occur overnight from the middle of June, 2021 through January, 2022. The concrete pours would begin around 2:00am and go through the morning hours during weeknights. Day shift work activities will still occur from 7:00am – 4:00pm.
The overnight concrete pours are necessary as warmer temperatures will be detrimental to the quality of the concrete.
The attached exhibits (link and link) detail information about the concrete pours, maintenance of traffic, location of vehicles/equipment, lighting and coordination. Dugan & Meyer are in the preliminary stages of putting together a schedule that will help us understand the approximate number of trucks we should anticipate each night, and can share this with you.
If any of the attached information is not clear or you have questions, please let me know. Additionally, if a virtual or onsite meeting will help with review of the exhibits, please let me know.
